NZOAA, or the New Zealand Olympiad in Astronomy and Astrophysics, is a newly founded academic competition based in NZ that aims to spark interest in astronomy and related fields within high school students. The competition runs at the start of each year, and students have a chance to represent New Zealand at the International Olympiad in Astronomy and Astrophysics.
